Nearly $1 Million Verdict In Meal And Rest Break Case Will Stand

The California Supreme Court has declined to review a verdict in favor of employees of an Oakland trucking company who brought a class action lawsuit claiming they were not provided meal and rest breaks.
Seventy-three present and former employees of the trucking company, which serves the Port of Oakland, will share in the damages award of $964,557. The company is also required to pay another roughly half a million dollars in attorneys’ fees, costs and class action enhancements. (Read More)
