Job Title Payroll & HRIS Administrator
Job Responsibilities

Join a successful, family-owned company with deep roots in California agriculture as their next Payroll & HRIS Administrator. This on-site, multi-faceted role is a great fit for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a varied workday. In this position, you will manage full-cycle, in-house payroll, administer the HRIS system, and provide general office support as needed. The ideal candidate has experience processing payroll for California agriculture employees and strong working knowledge of ADP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of payroll processing, including data validation, regulatory compliance, calculation of deductions and garnishments, and completion of tax filings.
  • Maintain confidentiality, security, and accurate recordkeeping of payroll information; perform periodic payroll audits and reconciliations.
  • Serve as the primary HRIS administrator, overseeing system updates, user access, configuration, troubleshooting, and data management.
  • Assist with general office administrative tasks such as answering phones, processing mail, ordering office supplies, scheduling, and front-office communication.
  • Create ad hoc reports for the HR Department.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments on budgeting and planning efforts.
Job Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience, preferably within the agriculture or farming industry.
  • 1+ year of experience processing piece-rate payroll.
  • 1+ year of experience using ADP software.
  • Strong working knowledge of California and federal payroll laws.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
Compensation $30 - $33/hour DOE
