Job Title Human Resources Analyst II
Job Responsibilities

The County’s Human Resources Department is seeking a talented HR professional to join our Services team! HR Services Analysts act as HR Generalists, providing a full range of HR service to their assigned departments. The below information outlines duties specific to our current vacancy, but the list created from this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies on the team. Typical Tasks and Representative Duties: Manages recruitments for all DSS positions. Works closely with the DSS, HR leadership, and the broader HR team to identify, design, implement, and oversee HR initiatives that support, align, and integrate with organizational objectives, processes and requirements; provides both strategic and tactical support and problem solving. Develops and presents HR related reports and analysis; analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with leaders to develop solutions, programs and policies that strengthen the quality of HR operations and ensure compliance. Develops, applies, and interprets HR policies, practices and procedures that comply with memoranda of understandings, county code, and other appropriate laws, rules and regulations. Presents reports, recommendations and resolutions to various committees and commissions as needed. Advises department leadership and their staff on employee related policies, issues and needs; works with them to increase engagement, productivity and retention by recommending, planning and implementing action plans, and managing and resolving performance issues. Manages HR administration and compliance activities as necessary. Develops and presents HR communications and training. Collaborates with other DSS Human Resources staff. Participates on committees as needed. Performs other HR-related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a proven human resources business partner within the public sector. Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with attention to detail is required, as well as the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and decision making. Well-honed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion is a must. A flexible individual that is adaptable to competing demands and demonstrates quality customer service and response will be most successful in this role. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in utilizing HRIS systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power point) and have the ability to quickly adapt to new technology. Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) or other HR certification, and public sector experience is preferred but not required. Minimum Qualifications: A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes: Human Resources Analyst II: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Personnel Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field. and one year of professional human resources experience.

Compensation $38.01-$48.52
