Job Title | Human Resources Generalist |
Job Responsibilities | • Provide support to employees and managers in various HR related topics such as leave of absence, compensation etc. and resolve issues and problems • Orchestrate employee engagement, onboarding and offboarding • Supervise human resources training and development for the organization • Mange employee file and record conservation/retention in electronic and/or paper form • Oversee compensation and benefit plans • Administer various human resource programs and procedures; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual. • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics • Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems • Support filing of the EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations • Investigate reports of policy violations and write substantive summaries of the investigations, conclusions, and actions taken • Lead interactive conversations with candidates and employees • Track Company incentive programs, including the Quarter-per-Quarter program • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes as needed • Support the performance management process to deliver the maximum value to the organization. • Maintain company compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations |
Job Qualifications | • 3+ years of direct HR experience (preferably within a field services -- solar, wind, construction enterprise) • Strong computer skills including working with enterprise level software and MS products • (S)PHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred • Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business Administration or relevant field (or equivalent) • Proven experience as HR Generalist • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures • Solid knowledge of employment/labor laws • Ability to work independently under general direction • Ability to problem solve and handle non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices. • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office (including advanced Excel skills) • HRIS experience, implementation experience strongly preferred (Paylocity is a plus) • Excellent communication and people skills • Ability navigate conflict, seeking positive, mutually beneficial outcomes • Ability to maintain confidential information. • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach • Process- and detail-oriented • Emotional intelligence, good judgment and the ability to ask for help when needed • Ability to work with diverse and strong personalities to drive results in fast-paced environment |
